This repair kit addresses a common failure in the power supply board used in Samsung FP-T5084X/XAA and possibly other 50'' plasma TVs.
Please read the listing carefully and in full to avoid possible confusion.
Before placing an order please ensure that the board in your TV is the same as the one in this listing! It is common for manufacturers to make significant modifications in TV contents without maing changes to the packaged model.

Before listing the typical failure symptoms please take a moment to consider that while hopefully useful this information can not guarantee that the kit offerred is all - or even any - of what your TV needs. Any single module can fail in a number of ways and failure symptoms for very different failures can often overlap significantly.
Still, this is a fairly common failure and if you have the same symptoms there is a good statistical chance that it is caused by the same causes as all others.
The first apparent symptom is the TV taking some time to power on - longer and longer over time, until it eventually comes to a point where it just wouldn't power on. This means no reaction to either bezel button or remote command - no clicking, no sound, no lights. A faint cyclical whining can be heard from the back of the TV in some cases.
Sometimes the TV may click and produce the typical Samsung startup sound and then shut itself off. This particular symptom can be caused by a number of other reasons, but if preceeded by slow starting it is almost certainly the same issue.
And sometimes the whole period of slow starting can be skipped and the TV may just refuse to power on one day without any past history of problems.
Visual inspection of the power supply board should confirm swelling in electrolytic capacitors as shown on the picture.
In our case those were capacitors CX834,CX835, CB813 and CB814.
If your power supply board has other bulged capacitors please contact us with their label and values (capacity in uF and voltage).

This is as easy a repair service as they come, but it still requires some basic soldering skills.
You will need an iron - almost any will do, some solder and a Philips screw driver so you can get to the board.
