SERVICE DESCRIPTION - PLEASE READ IN FULL!

Coppell TV Repair offers a REPAIR SERVICE for power supply board YPSU-J013A as shown on the picture and used in some Sanyo DP50747 models.

REPAIR SERVICE means that you need to send us your malfunctioning board that we will attempt to service, test and return to you.

IMPORTANT NOTE 1: Sanyo model DP50747 is known to come in several very different internal implementations called chassis. It is practically several different TVs under the same model identifier.

Do not assume that your Sanyo DP747 has this board just because the title announces it as belonging to a DP50747!

Refer to the chassis model (P50747-01) or, better yet, open up your TV and check which board is used inside!

IMPORTANT NOTE 2: There is a known issue with these boards: a faulty (shorted) sustain is likely to kill the power supply board too. If you install this board on a TV which sustain was already burned and has not been repaired that may lead to killing the newly instaled board as well!

Make sure to verify your sustain boards as well or send them along with the power - we will verify them for small additional testing fee.

Failure symptoms

There are several different failure symptoms, the three most common being completely dead TV,  randomly shutting off or taking time to turn on TV and clicking , but never turning on unit; the last can also be (and often is) caused by a failed sustain board, which may or may not have killed the power supply board; the best thing to do in such case is send all three boards for evaluation if functionality of the sustain boards can not be individually confirmed.

Processing time

Typical processing time for the repair is within two business days; if we have any probems that require more time (be it overload or technical problems) we will contact you with an update and request for more time.

We have a fairly high success ratio, but we still do not guarantee success; if we can't get the board to work, though, you will not need to pay.

Payment

Presently we do not charge in advance for repair services.

Instead, once the board(s) are received, tested, found to be defective, serviced and tested again to success we send a payment request to the customer.

If something along the process - such as unexpected difficulty or finding a board to be functional - arises we contact the customer via email and/or phone and disscuss options.

Minimal charge / diagnostic fee

If a board arrives and is determined to be functional we charge up to $25 for diagnostic fee.

For explanation of why do we do that please read this article.

Board requirements

Statistics prove in unmistakable manner that boards that have been previously worked on take more time and often end up costing more to repair than the advertised flat rate.

For that reason we ask that you do not send us boards with traces of previous repairs or if you do be advised that we reserve the right to reject service or reject giving warranty on the repair (if we decide to proceed with it).

This is not to say that we will reject or refuse warranty on every board that arrives.

Use practical judgement and know what to expect!
